Mr. Christopher To
Secretary General
Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre
Christopher Wing To is currently the Secretary General of
the Hong Kong
International Arbitration Centre. Before taking over as
Secretary General, he
worked for the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as Manager
Training and
Qualifications. Prior to that, he worked for Cathay Pacific
Airways for five
years in various departments including Engineering,
Financial and Purchasing.
In his spare time he lectures part- time on legal, business,
computing and
engineering matters at various local educational
institutions and is a frequent
guest speaker at City University of Hong Kong, Chinese
University of Hong
Kong, Hong Kong University and the Institute of Vocational
Council.
He is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators,
The Hong Kong
Institution of Engineers, The Institution of Electrical
Engineers, Hong Kong
Computer Society, The International Bar Association,
American Arbitration
Association, The Hong Kong Institute of Directors Ltd and a
Panel Member of
International Arbitrators of the Australian Centre for
International Commercial
Arbitration.
He is an Associate of The Hong Kong Institute of
Arbitrators, Royal
Aeronautical Society, an adviser for the faculty of
Mediation and ADR of the
Academy of Experts and a Sustaining Public Member of CPR
Institute for
Dispute Resolution.
He is currently a Council Member of the Hong Kong
Intemational
Arbitration Centre, a Committee Member of the Hong Kong
Mediation Council,
Hong Kong Institution of Engineers - Training Committee

In 1996 he obtained a Masters Degree in Arbitration and
Alternative
Dispute Resolution from City University of Hong Kong and is
currently
pursuing a Masters Degree in Commercial Law. He was a study
guide
author and external examiner of Deakin University MBA
(Technology
Management) and Graduate Diploma of Management, and is an
Associate
Extenial Assessor of the City University of Hong Kong LLB
and MA
Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Courses.
Christopher To is a Chartered Electrical Engineer. He has
authored
papers on arbitration, computing, engineering, mediation and
training practices
in various journals, publications and has presented papers
to various legal and
technical conferences throughout the world.
