   The Role of the Forensic Scientist/ Engineer in Marine Investigations

   Speakers :
   Graham Charlton BSc MSc
, has been a forensic chemist for over 30 years, which has included 12 years working for the Home Office Forensic Science Service in the UK. He has been a consulting forensic scientist with Burgoynes since 1984, and has been working in Hong Kong since 2003. To date, he has been involved in the investigation of about 2,500 fires and explosions on land and at sea.

   John Allum BSc PhD
, was awarded his PhD at Cranfield University in the UK for his work on emulsion explosives. This was followed by 3 years researching the behaviour of high explosives at the Royal Military College of Science in the UK. John has been a consulting forensic scientist with Burgoynes since 2001 and came to Hong Kong in 2004. John has investigated a variety of land and sea based fires and explosions as well as cargo incidents.
