Traffic Separation Schemes – Has Crossing a Traffic Lane become legally more difficult?

On 8 August, 2015 the Mount Apo collided with the Hanjin Ras Laffan whilst crossing the
westbound traffic lane of the Singapore Strait Traffic Separation Scheme; and in March this
year, the Singapore Court handed down judgment finding the Mount Apo most to blame for the
collision.
Join us for an evening talk by Harry Hirst, FNI - a Partner and Master Mariner with Ince – who
will discuss certain aspects of the Singapore Court’s judgment and whether crossing a traffic
lane has just become legally more difficult. Harry will then also spend a few minutes talking
about his new book on “Collisions at sea”.
